Littleton, CO 1961 Ranch Kitchen Remodel
Project: New homeowners love their new house, but not the kitchen! The kitchen lacks function with small appliances and a low-hanging microwave over the cooktop. There also is no pantry and little prep space which does not work for a family of four. We needed to rework the space to be more functional and have plenty of cabinets and space to entertain.
Mood Board:

Proposal: The biggest focus was making the kitchen functional. Expand the footprint of the kitchen by utilizing a side wall in the kitchen that currently was empty by adding cabinetry, a double-oven, pantry, and beverage fridge. Moved the location of the fridge across the kitchen to add in a peninsula that will allow for extra seating and a great space for entertaining. From a design standpoint, client likes light & bright, but she wanted a touch of color. I thought it would be fitting to add a touch of mid-century mod as the house is a 1960s Ranch and my clients are trying to maintain some of the original 60s architecture & design aspects.
