Spring 2022: Louisville Living Room
Project: This client purchased a new home and only the bare minimum of furniture to get started in his new space. For his living room, he envisioned an inviting and comfortable space perfect for entertaining or relaxing at home. His main ask was to have one piece that is a statement piece – something eclectic that people don’t see every day.
Proposal: I started the design around the ecletic and statement piece. I found a velvet lounge chair in a teal blue that would stand out as an interesting piece, but is still inviting and very comfortable. Once I had the teal accent color, I decided to keep the rest of the space neutral & warm with greys & blacks + natural wood. I continued the teal accent with the throw pillows and within the area rug. The accent chair is the main statement piece, but the black woven 3′ mirror will also add visual interest to the space.
